Life is a little crazy right now,, and everyone is dealing with a lot of anxiety and uncertainty. My fiancee Brandon has been reading the Harry Potter books to my youngest son over the last few months, and just the other day read the Dumbledore line "Happiness can be found even in darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light", one of my favorite quotes from those books.

When I was writing this book, "Never, Never Quit", one of my themes I wanted to explore was how fictional characters/stories inspire us in our lives. I always have images hanging around my work space or home of my favorite characters. In this rough page layout, Celara is discouraged and lying on her bed. She looks up and sees all her drawings of her favorite characters, all strong characters who persisted and didn't give up when things got scary or dark. It's one of my favorite pages, I can't wait to finish the art for it. The Kickstarter has 62 hours to go (my timing for launching a Kickstarter is impeccable 😅), thank you so much for supporting it!

Thank you so much! I’m so excited about this book, and now we have unlocked three stretch goals! the book with be hardcover with an embossed cover and book jacket. If we hit the next stretch goal, all the physical tiers get a bookplate with their book. 😊

Thank you so much for supporting this project!  I cannot believe I reached my funding goal in just a handful of hours and am overwhelmed to know my book will now be a reality.  I will add more updates soon about stretch goals and more, but just wanted to acknowledge this huge milestone!
